Almost every seller and buyer started out with a vacation experience that caused them to fall in love with the lake, the people and the beauty of the region. Thousands of out of state vacationers annually make the trek to Norris, earning the boaters on the lake their nickname as "the Buckeye Navy." Boating, skiing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, bridge jumping, rope swings, and canoeing are in ample abundance for the water sport enthusiasts and sun lovers. However, Norris is also known for its great fishing. With the generous allowance of private lakefront docks by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), professionals and relaxers alike can enjoy the fishing and still have easy access to their boats and water toys.
